Terms of service

Last updated: 15 October 2026

These Terms of Service govern the use of Lessiqua, the language-learning service available at https://lessiqua.com and https://app.lessiqua.com. Please read them carefully.

Who we are

Lessiqua is provided by QuadiLab Sh.p.k., NUIS M61817005I, with its registered office at Rruga Norbert Jokl, Tirana, Albania ("we", "us"). For support, questions or complaints you can write to us at [email protected].

Acceptance of the Terms

By creating an account you accept these Terms and confirm that you have read the Privacy Policy. We record the date on which you accepted them. If you do not agree with the Terms, you may not use the service.

The service

Lessiqua helps you study a language (Italian, English or Russian) starting from your own language. In particular, you can:

  • import texts by pasting them or uploading files (txt, md, html, docx, odt, pdf) or photos up to 20 MB; photos and scanned PDFs are transcribed into text;
  • collect new words in your vocabulary;
  • practise with review games: sentence translation assessed by artificial intelligence, flashcards, grammatical forms, dictation, stress, verbal aspect, and repeating a sentence out loud with pronunciation assessment;
  • follow the Russian grammar course;
  • review with spaced repetition.

We may improve, change or replace the features of the service over time. If a change significantly reduces what you have already paid for, we will let you know in advance.

Account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use Lessiqua.
  • You can sign up with an email address and password, verifying your email address through the link we send you, or sign in with Google.
  • You must provide a valid email address and keep it up to date, because we use it for service communications.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for the activity carried out with your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, change your password and write to us.
  • Your account is personal: you may not transfer it or share it with others.

Plans and tokens

Lessiqua offers the Free, Base and Pro plans. The prices and the number of monthly tokens of each plan are shown on the Pricing page (https://lessiqua.com/en/pricing).

  • Tokens measure the actual cost of the features that use artificial intelligence or audio: AI-assessed translation, transcriptions, text-to-speech and pronunciation assessment. Games that do not use AI do not consume tokens.
  • Tokens are renewed every month starting from the date you signed up or the date of your last plan change. Unused tokens do not accumulate and do not carry over to the following month.
  • When your tokens run out, the AI and audio features stop until the next renewal; all other features remain available.
  • Additional tokens cannot be purchased: if you need more, you can switch to a higher plan.

Payments and subscriptions

Online payments are not active yet. Once they are, the following rules will apply:

  • payment will be made through a payment service provider indicated at the time of purchase;
  • paid plans will be monthly or annual subscriptions, renewed automatically at the end of each period;
  • you will be able to cancel your subscription at any time: cancellation will take effect at the end of the period already paid for, and until then you will continue to use the plan;
  • switching to a higher plan will take effect immediately; switching to a lower plan will take effect at the end of the current period;
  • prices and any applicable VAT or other tax will be shown clearly at checkout, before you confirm.

Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, as a general rule you have the right to withdraw from a contract for a digital service or digital content within 14 days of its conclusion, without giving any reason.

If you expressly ask to start using a paid plan straight away, before those 14 days have passed, and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, the right of withdrawal does not apply, within the limits set by law. At the time of purchase we will ask you for this request and this acknowledgement explicitly; if you choose not to give them, you will be able to withdraw in accordance with the law.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, write to [email protected].

Changes to plans and prices

We may change the plans, the tokens included and the prices. We will notify you of changes with reasonable notice. Changes do not affect the period you have already paid for: they apply from the next renewal, and you will be able to cancel before they take effect.

Your content

  • The texts you import remain yours.
  • You confirm that you have the right to use them for your personal study and that they do not infringe the rights of others or the law.
  • You grant us only the licence needed to provide the service to you: processing the texts, storing them in your account and sending them to the providers listed in the Privacy Policy (for example for transcription, AI assessment or text-to-speech). We do not use your content for any other purpose and do not make it public.
  • The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups, which are overwritten on a rotating basis within a limited period.

Service content and open sources

The software, design, grammar course and other content of Lessiqua belong to us or to our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may use them only for your personal study within the service.

Part of the lexical data used in the course and dictionaries comes from open sources, such as OpenRussian and Wiktionary, and is used in accordance with their respective licences. The list of sources and licences is on the app's credits page: https://app.lessiqua.com/credits.

Acceptable use

You may use Lessiqua only lawfully and for your personal study. In particular, you may not:

  • abuse the service or use it in a way that damages it or degrades it for other users;
  • use scripts, bots or other automated systems to get around usage limits, tokens or other restrictions of the service;
  • resell, rent out or share access to the service for payment;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the systems, to other users' accounts or to data, or otherwise attack the service;
  • upload or process unlawful content or content that infringes the rights of others.

Limits of artificial intelligence

Lessiqua uses artificial intelligence and speech recognition systems. The translations, corrections and explanations generated by AI, the transcriptions and the pronunciation assessment are study tools: they may contain errors or inaccuracies and should be used with a critical eye. They are not a language certification or an official assessment of your level.

Availability of the service

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do our best to keep it reliable and always accessible, but we cannot guarantee that it will be free of errors or interruptions: there may be breaks for maintenance, updates or technical problems, including problems on our providers' side.

Suspension and closure of the account

  • You can close your account at any time from your personal area. Deletion removes your account and your data as explained in the Privacy Policy.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, in proportion to the seriousness of the breach. Except in urgent cases or where the law prevents us, we will notify you and explain why.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service, nor for errors in AI-generated content. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where the law does not allow it, or the rights granted to you by mandatory consumer protection rules.

Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms, for example when the service or the law changes. We will notify you of significant changes with reasonable notice, by email or with a notice in the app. If you do not agree with the changes, you can close your account before they take effect; if you continue to use the service after that date, the changes will be deemed accepted.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Albanian law and the courts of Tirana have jurisdiction over disputes. If you are a consumer, this does not affect the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live, including the right to bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence where the law grants it.

Privacy

How we process your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
